What we believe...
For he chose us in him before the creation of the world to be holy and blameless in his sight. In love he predestined us for adoption to sonship through Jesus Christ, in accordance with his pleasure and will— to the praise of his glorious grace, which he has freely given us in the One he loves. In him we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, in accordance with the riches of God’s grace that he lavished on us. (Ephesians 1:4-8)
We believe in one God, who reveals himself in three persons: Father, Son and Holy Spirit. He is full of love, He is holy and righteous.
We believe in the Bible as the inspired, timeless Word of God. It is a perfect guide for all areas of our lives.
We believe that man is naturally spiritually dead as a result of sin, and that only through Jesus Christ can we come alive again, reconciled and in relationship with God.
We believe that Jesus Christ, God the Son, is fully human and fully God. He was conceived by the Holy Spirit and born of the virgin Mary. He lived a perfect life without sin, took upon Him all our sins, died on the cross and rose again from the dead. In this way, He paid the penalty we actually deserve as a result of our sins. Today Jesus sits at the right hand of God the Father as our High Priest and Mediator. God sees us through Him.
We believe that salvation from sin is a gift from God to mankind. This gift has been given to us in grace by God and is freely available to every person through faith in Jesus Christ, without payment or addition of own works.
We believe that God invites man to accept this gift and that man is capable of receiving it. Choosing to change his life. In biblical terms this is called conversion.
We believe that the automatic consequence of accepting, examining, and cherishing this gift is that our lives align with what God wants for us: a good, blessed life.
We believe that water baptism by immersion is a symbol of the cleansing and life-giving power of God and a witness in the spiritual world, of our faith in and surrender to Jesus Christ.
We believe that the Holy Spirit was sent to continue the work of Jesus. He sanctifies us and guides us in all areas of our lives. He blesses us with spiritual expressions and abilities and gives us what we need to allow the fruit of the Spirit to grow to its full potential, enabling us to truly love.
We believe in the baptism in the Holy Spirit with the signs that follow, which is promised to everyone who believes and is born again.
We believe in the gifts of the Holy Spirit and that they are given for the edification of the church.
We believe that the Lord's Supper is a festive commemoration of the death of Jesus. By having this meal with the believers, we partake of all that He paid for us, and in celebrating it, we honor Him.
We believe that we are called to bring the gospel, the good news of Jesus Christ, to all nations.
We believe that our Lord Jesus Christ will return soon as He has promised.
