One of the most important things we learn as Christians is to change our mindset to match what God wants to do in our lives.

If you spend most of your time doing things your way, you're on a path to limited success. Doing things God's way guarantees success beyond your wildest dreams.

We read that God's way of doing things is better than ours in Isaiah 55,8-9 “My plans are not your plans, neither are your ways my ways declares the LORD. For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so far are my ways higher than your ways, and my plans your plans."

If we want to enter the seasons that God has for us, we must understand His ways.

We often forget that the mind plays a very important role in serving God. Many Christians do not realize the importance of the renewal of the mind until something goes wrong.

We must let go of our old ways of thinking if we are to succeed in fulfilling God's plan for our lives and enter the seasons ahead.

Too often it is the wrong thinking that holds us back and prevents God from taking us to the place where we can experience His goodness and grace.

When we put our way of thinking before God's, we can count on him to do his best to correct us.

The Holy Spirit is very good at changing our old ways of thinking so that we can carry out God's plan and see His grace at work.

A good example is Peter. God poured out His Holy Spirit on the Gentiles and wanted to use Peter to bring this great message to them. But Peter was convinced that the Gentiles had no part in what God was doing.

Like many Christians today, he was caught up in a mindset that was inconsistent with what God was doing.

He was certainly not yet aware that we are all sons of God through faith in Christ Jesus. “There are no longer Jews or Greeks, slaves or free, male or female – we are all one in Christ Jesus…” Galatians 3,28

Peter desperately needed a renewal of his mind, and God would make that clear to him by sending him to the house of Cornelius, as we read in Acts chapter 10.

There are times in our lives when the Lord shows us things for the purpose of changing our thinking. Changes that bring us into line with His Word.

Godly thinking is not difficult if we listen to the Holy Spirit. He shows you where you are with your thinking and where you need to be!
