What are we spreading?

Even in times of pandemic, it is important to focus on Jesus and the victory He has won for us.

As disciples of Jesus, we want to infect as many people as possible with the love of the Lord in order to make victory possible for them as well.

2 Corinthians 2:14 (Amplified) "But thanks be to God, who always leads us in triumph in Christ, and through us spreads and makes evident everywhere the sweet fragrance of the knowledge of Him."

Some people spend a lot of money for a pleasant scent. The best scents are those that linger.

When someone walks by with such a scent, you immediately look up and think: “wow, that smells good”. This is how I imagine the smell of the good news.

It's not difficult to spread bad news, but the smell of bad news is not pleasant and will not attract anyone. You prefer to avoid it and sometimes you even pinch your nose because you can't stand it.

The good news, on the other hand, is attractive. It makes you look up, lingers and gives you hope. Spreading good news means giving life, and offering people a perspective for the future by introducing them to the Lord.

Isaiah 52:7 (Amplified) How beautiful and delightful on the mountains Are the feet of him who brings good news, Who announces peace, Who brings good news of good [things], Who announces salvation, Who says to Zion, “Your God reigns!”

Yes, people are waiting for good news, but you have to believe it yourself first. Do you see yourself as a victor? Do you realize what Jesus has done for you? Do you recognize the future prospects he has given you?

The good news hasn't changed, but maybe we have?
