What will your future look like?

A while back I was asked what the perspective of the Church should be during this pandemic.

Some will certainly say that because of the current situation they have no future prospects at all. Others just accept it for what it is. What happens, happens.

But can we as a Church just leave it at that? Wouldn't that mean that we've lost our hope and faith in God?

It is precisely the difficult times in our lives that make us wonder where our help comes from.

Psalm 121:2 "My help comes from the Lord, who made heaven and earth."

Psalm 71:5 "For You are my hope, O Lord God; You are my trust from my youth."

The perspective of the church should always be one of hope and trust in God. These ensure a stable faith life. Hope in the Lord gives us the strength we need to stand firm in the faith.

It gives us a future perspective that allows us to look ahead to what is to come.

Isaiah 40:31 ...But those who wait on the Lord Shall renew their strength; They shall mount up with wings like eagles, They shall run and not be weary, They shall walk and not faint.

If you don't want to get weary, you would do well to stay focused on what God is saying, for He rules our lives. He knows exactly what's going on! He gives us a perspective of tranquility and peace.

The result is a Church that radiates stability and cannot be sidetracked.

God has a plan for our lives that not even a crisis can stop! He gives us courage in the midst of the storm! He directs our thoughts away from negative circumstances and as long as we trust in Him, He focus them on what lies ahead.
